Not a super big fan of Joe's. We go for the crab pots every once in awhile, since the spot in Bricktown serves FAKE butter. ICK! The boils are prepacked in a net bag and popped into the boiler/microwave. Nothing spectacular, but every now and then this gal from back East needs some crab. If only they had Maryland blue crabs. *sigh* They have outdoor, covered deck seating and indoor seating. I've never seen a wait for a table, but we usually stop in when we are on that side of town...so there could be a wait on weekends. Fair to middling. Not a great deal, but fits the bill when we need it.

I do NOT eat seafood and yet look at the stars I gave this place! They have many more non-seafood dishes than Red Lobster and when you walk in, the smell of seafood isn't so overwhelming. My husband loves this place and says the seafood is great. I'll take his word for it. The deck outside that overlooks some water is actually really cool. They even have fish food machines so you can feed the fish and ducks. They have an outdoor playground that is comparable to a McDonald's playground for the kiddos. The place has a really cool, casual vibe and ambiance. I would have given it five stars but our waitress wasn't the best. She wasn't the worst but she was hard to find, had some trouble keeping up with refills and just generally slow to get things for us. And let me say, it was NOT busy in there so there was really no reason for her to move so slowly. We always got what we needed but it seemed to take an extraordinary amount of time.

I didn't have the best experience here. I ordered my food with the rest of my party and they didn't put the order in. So when everyone else was eating their food I sat and sat and sat and waited for mine. By the time my food came out everyone was done with their food. So Joe's I have to say, you guys suck. No one came out to apologize or talk to us, it was just a simple oh, we forgot. Well I didn't forget. Do I recommend this place? NO! The food here isn't that great. I know there is better seafood for the same if not a better price. I would pass on this place.

The seafood buckets are really overpriced for what you get. I've also had the fish tacos, which were pretty good. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

If you like grease, this is the place for you! Average average average!! Overpriced!!! The service was very average, in terms of the food it was a waste of time and money, I honestly can't believe I spent time and money at this spot!

I'm not sure why Joe's doesn't fair better. I always get something strong to drink that comes in a mason jar, so coastal & kitschy right? We started with a hot crab dip appetizer, it was overkill with it's extremely solid texture and weird choice of edibles with it. So skip it and get something less cheesy before the seafood to set up a happy stomach environment. I got a huge crab boil with dungeoness & a lobster and couldn't finish the lobster. I wish I could do something other than potatoes but I understand they're a staple of the boil. I'd love to say I go out on a limb with different flavors and seasonings but I don't. I can only get a strong sense of happiness with the regular Ol Bay seasoning, something about my relatives finding out I'm not eating like a New Englander could end poorly at Thanksgiving. Trust me. Our Server was Andrew and he was decently entertaining and engaging. I would ask for him again! He advised my husband against the weird cobbler he was interested in, low and behold it was pretty bad. The crust wasn't flaky and the filling was like hot jelly and lacked fruit. Perhaps my other half will listen next time? He also got fish and chips as the main course, the plain batter made it just mediocre. They need a big revamp of their menu for fresher flavors and a dessert redo and then we will come back for an update on this review, see you then Joe's!

Worst service ever. Went for lunch and walked out due to slow service. The place wasn't crowded. My party of four was seated, and waited twenty minute and never even had our drink orders taken. Been here several times and service seems to get progressively worse with each visit. I will never go back.

I like the newer steamed menu vs. Fried...but....Slow service, food is overcooked, service is glacial. Oh well... Had to jump up and down to get my bill... No music, the radio was broken, Shark tank is good however

I used to work here almost 10 years ago, and at that time, it was the place to be. The food was good (for Oklahoma standards), and the environment was lively. We LOVED putting on a good dancing show for a customers! I quit because the quality began to degrade. They changed management, changed the menu, and changed everything. The food quality went down significantly, I assume due to costs. The place lost a lot of the fun that our customers adored. For example, we used to have "Bike Night" on Wednesday, which brought in all the bikers and turned into a big party. We sold a lot of liquor! But they ended that. As a result, I wouldn't return because it just isn't the same. The food is bad and the entertainment is vanilla.

I have been to Joes a number of times over the years. I actually lived in Houston for a while and it there was a location in Houston that I would frequent during Crawfish season. Since being back in Oklahoma City, I have been somewhat let down with Joes. Pluses are that the drinks are cheap, they are open late on a Sunday evening, there is a small playground for kids and I do like the outdoor seating area that overlooks the swamp coming out or going into (can't remember) the Stinchcomb wildlife or nature area. I think if you are going during crawfish season and want to pound a lot of beer (which was my favorite thing to do in Houston), then this is probably the best place in OKC to go for that. However as an overall restaurant it really leaves a lot to be desired. I think it is a victim of the change in seafood prices (wholesale seafood prices have skyrocketed in the past ten years due to overfishing and the collapse of several populations of wild fish). So, you get low quality farmed fish and seafood for okay prices. Not really my cup of tea these days. So, during crawfish season, yeah! Otherwise, yuck!

I've been to Joe's a few times. Anything other than the buckets of shellfish is mediocre, service is acceptable, although maybe a little overbearing for a quiet weeknight, BUT I have to take a star off for the prices. I would not expect to pay what I paid, for the quality of food that was received. Asking $40 for a bucket of shellfish is still a little steep. Crabtown has better deals, and serves about the same quality of seafood. That said, it is still edible.

Ate here with my family Saturday. We ordered the classic, Santello, and Artic steam pots. The arctic pot had a lobster tail which did not have the vein removed and was rubbery. The sausage, shrimp, and corn was on point as usual. I had a large Sam Adams and my wife had the Mardi Gras punch. Both were good. The staff was very boring. They usually dance and sing a song at least once while you eat but not on that day. And they used to say "I've got crabs" when the servers came out of the kitchen with pots. It took longer than usual for our party of five to be seated because they had to put a couple of tables together.

Come here and you get a dinner and a show. Honestly, it's like Red Lobster's beer-swilling, tobacco chewing country cousin. The interior attempts to take you to (I have to imagine since I've never been there) the Louisiana bayou. Seriously, they went all out w/ the decor - corrugated metal roofing, distressed paneled walls in sherbet colors. Other things you would find in a hurricane's aftermath. The employees - great service from our server and a manager walked around interacting w/ the patrons. But then the music got uncomfortably loud and the servers started line dancing to "Cotton Eye Joe." What the what?!? Anyway, I ordered one of their famous pots of seafood. After making sure it was expected - yes, I asked the manager - I put on the embarrassing crab bib, rolled up my sleeves and got elbow deep into my pot, tearing the netting, eating with my hands and sending crab meat flying across the table. There is no dignity in eating this way but I suppose that adds to the fun and very very casual atmosphere of this restaurant. My seafood was overcooked, but still enjoyable, especially covered in melted butter. 3 stars seems a little unfair, but because of the loud music, I'm a little reluctant to return. If you want to have dinner, come before 6 PM, to beat the rush.

Its been awhile since we have been to a JCS so we thought we would try it since we enjoy sitting outside and they seemed to have a nice patio area. Im not a complainer but wanted to give a review based on my experience. OK. first they where not busy at 8pm on a Tuesday night so there was no reason for tables to be left without being cleaned off. I asked one of our servers to please clean off one of the tables we were looking onto since that is one of my pet pevs. He took a few away but never came back to clean it completely. It took forever for us to get a draft beer, the food took forever (mind you there were probably 10 servers and 6 tables with customers in the restaurant). Then when we asked for another beer (food still hadnt came) it took another lifetime. OMG... seems there was nobody to manage and run a tight ship let a lone a ship at all at this place. We ordered mussels and another appetizer and they were quite good but I appologized to my fiance for putting him through that. I am only giving this place 2 stars because the food was good other than that JCS especially this place is not for us. Thumbs down and shame on you guys for letting a place with good food get a review like this. Maybe because you are a chain???
